Hyderabad: An accident involving a speeding Brezza on the Durgam Cheruvu Cable bridge resulted in a traffic jam on the stretch from Jubilee Hills towards IKEA on Wednesday afternoon. The occupants in the car fled from the spot, leaving the car on the bridge. As the vehicle remained on the busy stretch for around 30 mins, the traffic jam was experienced on the road no 45 and connecting roads.
Police rushed to the spot and towed away the vehicle to Madhapur PS. Further inquiries revealed that a youngster identified as Kiran was driving the vehicle with number TS 09FB 4896 at the time of the incident. He lost control on the wheel, hit the median and then the vehicle overturned. He and his friends received minor injuries in the accident, the police found. Madhapur police registered a case and started an investigation.
Police are on the lookout for Ravi who is absconding. According to records, the vehicle is registered in the name of Narsing Yadav Arraboina and has four pending challans for over speeding.
