Hyderabad: Minister K.T. Rama Rao on Monday directed officials to expedite developmental works under progress in the Old City. He was addressing a meeting that included Hyderabad Lok Sabha member Asaduddin Owaisi, principal secretary (MAUD) Arvind Kumar and other senior officials.
The minister took stock of the development works related to basic facilities, infrastructure, flyovers, and civic amenities. Rao directed officials to bring to his notice if they came across any hurdles.
He reviewed the progress of various developmental works, especially those being executed by MAUD in Old City, including roads under Strategic Road Development Programme, nala widening works, double bedroom houses, reservoirs, laying of new pipelines in different Assembly constituencies.
“These issues must be addressed without any delay. Development works should be completed within the timeframe,” he told officials, adding that adequate funds are available for the speedy completion of development projects in Old City.
