Rain lashes Hyderabad after a long dry spell

The relative humidity was around 80 per cent on Thursday.

Hyderabad: After a long dry spell , the city received moderate to heavy showers on Thursday evening. Heavy spell, during the busy office hours, was recorded mainly in Western corridor – Attapur, Gachibowli , Madhapur , Punjagutta and circles of Secunderabad.

Average rainfall recorded up to 7.30 pm was 4.7 mm. Rains occurred due to high content of moisture in the atmosphere. The relative humidity was around 80 per cent on Thursday.

Water logging was reported at busy junctions towards Hi-tech city site, leading to traffic snarls.

The forecast for the city up to August 13 includes rain or thundershowers towards evening or night, while maximum temperature is likely to be 33 degrees and minimum 24 respectively.
