Loud music: Police issue notices to UB city pubs

The police said that based on complaints registered by the residents of UB City, the notices were issued on Thursday.

Bengaluru: The Cubbon Park police have issued notices to pub, bar and restaurants in UB City on Thursday for playing loud music beyond the stipulated time.

The police said that based on complaints registered by the residents of UB City, the notices were issued on Thursday. The residents of Vittal Mallya Road and surrounding areas had approached DCP Central and complained alleging that the pub, bar and restaurants in their area play loud music till 2 am and was creating noise pollution.

 

The residents of Vittal Mallya Road and D’Souza Layout, Lavelle Road and Walton Road have started a signature campaign as the students and the elders are being greatly affected by this.

The police said they have decided to take a legal action against them as this is the second time they have issued notices to them.
