Separate meet after factoring in damage in last 2 days.

Thiruvananthapuram: The central team which visited the flood-affected areas of the state particularly Kuttanad has said that a detailed report on the destruction would be submitted to the Centre soon.

The central team members met chief minister in his office on Thursday and apprised him about their assessment of the situation. The central team will also hold a separate meeting later after factoring in the damage caused across the state over the last 24 hours.

The state government will prepare a separate memorandum on the damages and the assistance required in rain havoc.

Meanwhile the chief minister has called upon people to donate generously to chief minster’s disaster relief fund to provide relief to the affected people.

The relief amount set aside as per central guidelines is not enough to provide assistance especially in such a large-scale disaster.

Pinarayi said may people had come forward to donate to the chief miniters relief fund. With the heavy rains continuing to wreak havoc, more money would be required to provide relief and assistance to the affected people in several districts.
