KSRTC to operate special buses for Independence Day

Passengers can book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.in.

Bengaluru: In view of the Independence Day holiday and a series of general holidays, the KSRTC will operate 450-500 extra buses in addition to the existing schedules to benefit commuters travelling out of the city on August 11 and 12. These special buses will be operated from various intra and interstate spots to Bengaluru on August 15.

Special buses will start from the Kempegowda Bus station to Dharmasthala, Kukkesubramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davanagere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir, Bidar, Tirupathi and other places.

Special buses from Mysuru Road Bus Station will be exclusively operated towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Periyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalanagar and Madikeri.

All premier special buses will be operated from Shanthinagar BMTC bus stand to Madurai, Kumbakonam, Trichy, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tirupathi, Vijayawada, Hyderabad and other places in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh.

Special buses will be operated from Vijayanagara, J.P. Nagar, Jayanagar 4th Block, Jalahalli Cross, Navarang (Rajajinagar), Malleswaram 18th Cross and Kengeri Satellite Town to Shivamogga, Davanagere, Tirupathi, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Kukkesubramanya, Dharmastala and other places based on the traffic potential.

Facility is provided to book computerised reservation tickets in advance for the special buses.

Reserved passengers are requested to note the place of boarding in their reservation ticket.

Passengers can book tickets online by logging on to www.ksrtc.in.

A discount of 5% on the fare will be extended if four or more passengers book on a single ticket and a discount of 10% is offered on the return journey ticket if onward and downward journey tickets are booked simultaneously.
