ESI Corporation needs to amend the law: Gopu Krishnan

The KSCDC factory, during the past five years, had worked less than 78 days in a six-month-term, except in 2014.

Kollam: The ESI Medical College taken over by the state government has 37 percent seats reserved for the children of ESI beneficiaries.

“The ESI Corporation needs to amend the law to overcome the situation. The family of the candidate has given complaints regarding the same to higher authorities including the Prime Minister, and the Union labour minister,” C.G. Gopu Krishnan, Capex director board member, told DC.

The KSCDC factory, during the past five years, had worked less than 78 days in a six-month-term, except in 2014, which recorded the highest of 84. It had even come down to 20.
