Recently, the Vizag MP had asked a question in the Lok Sabha regarding C-Dac. Mr Haribabu asked a) whether the government is planning to set up Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-Dac) in Andhra Pradesh and other States; b)if so, the details thereof; c) the present status of the proposal; d) and the time-frame fixed for the same?

After the Chief Minister wrote to the Centre, Vizag MP also followed it up with the concerned ministry on setting up C-Dac.“C Dac along with other R & D institutes like STQC and NIELIT, C-Dac would definitely help building the right eco system in attracting IT talent followed by companies to this region.” “Unfortunately this is not happening. However we will again pursue these institutes with the help of our MP who was instrumental in getting many institutes to Vizag. Our MP was successful in resolving many long pending issues and grounding the projects,” said O. Naresh Kumar of Vizag Development Coun-cil (VDC), which had been pursuing these institutes for Vizag since long.
