Supply Godavari water to Sangareddy: Congress MLA Turpu Jayaprakash
Hyderabad: Congress MLA Turpu Jayaprakash Reddy (Jagga Reddy) has requested Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in a letter to supply Godavari water to Sangareddy district.
Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Mr Reddy said that there was no water in the Singur and Manjeera dams and they had become “like cricket grounds”.
He said the people in Sangareddy district are facing severe drinking water crisis. “There is no water problem in Patancheru constituency because Godavari water is coming from Hyderabad. The same should be supplied to Sangareddy,” he said.
He said Sangareddy, Kandi, Kondapur, and Sadasivpet mandals were facing severe water crisis. He said TRS leader and Medak MP Kottha Prabhakar Reddy should put pressure on the CM to supply Godavari water to Sangareddy constituency.
Asked about the Opposition raising the issue before the Chief Minister, Mr Reddy said when even the TRS leaders do not have access to the Chief Minister, how could others get his attention.
Mr Reddy said he had written several letters to the Chief Minister, neither was a response nor any action taken.
