Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Monday assured to initiate action if irregularities on selling the TNHB land to a trust, is proved.
Intervening the speech of DMK working president M. K. Stalin in the Assembly, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam, who holds the housing board portfolio, said the land was sold to the trust as per the rules of the TNHB.
Raising the issue, Mr. Stalin said over seven acres of land in posh Thiruvanmiyur was sold at a low price by the Housing Board to a private trust that had allegedly promised health facility but built a marriage hall for pecuniary advantage and hence he sought action.
