GobackAmitShah' tweet hits BJP leader on his visit
Chennai: On the day the BJP national president landed in Chennai for his mega launch of the saffron bid to woo the Dravidian voter for the 2019 Parliament poll, the twitter got hot with the hashtag---#GobackAmitShah.
The long stream of twitter users hitting the hashtag to support its original author had their lines biting sharp: 'This is the land of Periyar; We will not allow a party that divides people on religion; BJP might have succeeded in other states but will stay under NOTA in the land of Tamils'.
— Tweet with the hashtag— #GobackAmitShah.
Obviously annoyed by the Dravidian ilk waving the black flag at his saffron, Shah turned to the revered Tamil poet-philosopher Thiruvalluvar to remind the 'Periyar followers' trolling him heavily on the social media that their sacred land has also been famous for its hospitality towards the visiting guest. He opened his Monday evening address to the party workers, gathered at the VGP Golden Beach Monday evening for the all-important oration that was meant to set the tone for the BJP's TN bid in 2019 Parliament poll, with the Kural couplet 86 (in Hindi of course) that translates as: 'He who, having entertained the guests that have come, looks out for others who may yet come, will be a welcome guest to the inhabitants of heaven'.
A similar 'Goback' hate hashtag had greeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he visited Chennai early April for attending the Defence Expo. The 'GoBackModi' was tweeted by hundreds, making it trend worldwide.
