Mobile medical teams will work for sheep: Kalvakuntla Kavitha

Kavitha and Bodhan MLA Shakeel distributed sheep units to the beneficiaries in Bodhan on Sunday.

Nizamabad: Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha said mobile medical teams will be pressed into service to treat sheep falling sick. The state government will provide sheep units as well as fodder on subsidy to the Golla, Kurma communities, she explained.

The MP, along with Bodhan MLA Shakeel, distributed sheep units to the beneficiaries in Bodhan on Sunday. She also set foundation stone for a shopping complex at the MPP office. Speaking on the occasion, she said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao introduced distribution of sheep units to boost the income of Golla, Kurma communities.

She suggested members of the communities to get membership in societies to avail the benefits of government schemes. Ms Kavitha said the fisheries scheme was giving good results in rural areas.

The MP said the Telangana government has been lending a helping hand even to the blacksmiths,goldsmiths, toddy tappers, weavers and barbers. Bodhan sub-collector Sikta Patnaik, DCCB chairman P. Gangadhar Rao and others were present.
