A PIL has been moved in the Hyderabad High Court seeking to disqualify 22 MLAs of the YSR Congress including four ministers
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court has upheld the objection of its Registry against the naming of the Secretary Generals of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha and the Election Commission as respondents in a writ seeking to direct the Centre to accord special status to the Andhra Pradesh and also to implement the AP Reorganisation Act 2014.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan and Justice K. Vijaya Lakshmi directed the Registry to list the writ by allocating the number after removing the names mentioned above.
P. Srinivasa Rao of Prakasam had moved the writ urging the court to direct the Centre to implement the Section 6, 90, 92 and 93 of the Reorganisation Act.
