Hyderabadi woman in Saudi complains of ill treatment by employer
Hyderabad: A 20-year old woman from Hyderabad who went to Saudi Arabia has sent a voice message to her family, urging them to take her back or else she may die of “ill treatment”.
Saba Fathima, a resident of Hafeez baba Nagar, went to the Gulf to work as a beautician, but was cheated by the agent and was forced to take up a job as a domestic help.
Saba is married and has a baby girl. Tragedy struck the family when the husband, Feroz, died in an accident six months back. Saba was struggling to earn a livelihood.
An agent from King Koti named Fathima offered a job as a beautician in Saudi Arabia with an attractive salary to Saba who went there on a visit visa instead of an employee’s visa in May 2017 leaving behind her one-year-old daughter Amira.
After landing in Saudi, she realised that she had been cheated and was forced to take up a job as a domestic help, where she was ill-treated by her employer.
“I am becoming weaker with pain in my kidneys and the condition of my hands and legs are becoming worse. Please take me back or I may die,” she urged in a voice message to her brother Shaik Rizwan.
