Another dead deer in UoH hints dogs attack
Hyderabad: Another dead deer, presumably killed by dogs, was found on Monday at the University of Hyderabad, near the Horticulture department nursery. This was the third deer found dead in the university since Friday.
Jillapalli Ravi, an avid photographer and founder of the Wild Lens group in the university said, “The number of deer which have died in the university this year will be more than 30. I go around the campus for photography and have seen deer carcasses at many locations.
“Only some of the deaths are noticed.” The deers that die in deep wooded areas remain unnoticed.
The main reason behind these deaths is stray dogs that may have attacked it. All government departments that are approached have washed their hands off and the university too is not doing anything, the photographer said. It will not be long when the university's deer population is completely wiped out.
