Not rattled by raids, will come clean, says Kamal Nath

Nakul, who is contesting as a Congress candidate from Chhindwara LS constituency vacated by his father, also filed nomination for the seat.

Bhopal: Terming recent raids by the income-tax (I-T) sleuths on houses of his close aides as a move by the BJP leadership to put pressure on him ahead of Lok Sabha polls, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Tuesday said he would not yield to it at any cost.

“In my four-decade-long political career, I have encountered many such pressures tactics (by rivals). But, I have never yielded to them. I dare Prime Minister Narendra Modi to scare me”, he said while addressing an election rally at Chhindwara where he filed nomination for Chhindwara Assembly seat.

His son Nakul, who is contesting as a Congress candidate from Chhindwara Lok Sabha constituency vacated by his father, also filed nomination for the seat.

Mr Nath described the I-T raids on his two officers on special duty — as “political vendetta” carried out by BJP leadership and asserted, “I will come out clean.”
