No Kerala medical, law college in national grade
Thiruvananthapuram: Though it was a good time for engineering, arts and science colleges and universities in the national institutional framework ranking, no medical college and law college made into the grade.
IIM Kozhikode, the lone management institute from the state figuring on the list of management schools, was ranked the eighth in the country. Last year it was in the sixth position.
There was only one Pharmacy College - Al Shifa College of Pharmacy, Kozhikode, ranked 73 in its category of top 100.
Kerala University was the highest ranked, 22nd, on the list of universities (overall ranking 35), followed MG University, 30the (overall ranking 49). Calicut University (overall ranking 90) and the CUSAT (overall ranking 95) are ranked 64 and 65 respectively.
Among engineering colleges in Kerala, the NIT, Calicut, was ranked 28 followed by Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, 30, and College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram -(CET), 71. The other arts and science colleges in the first 100 rank included Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kochi (35), Government College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram (47), St. Thomas College, Thrissur (54), Sacred Heart College, Kochi (57), SB College, Changanassery (62), St. Teresa's College, Kochi (64), Mahatma Gandhi College, T-hiruvananthapuram (68), Government Arts College, Thiruvananthapuram -(69), Farook College, Kozhikode (71) and , Newman College, Thodupuzha (78)
