The Adivasis said that they did not get relief from the exploitation and suppression even after the formation of Telangana. The Adivasis have proposed to raise black flags in their Adivasi gudems on the Telangana Formation Day.

They also made it clear that they will not allow Lambadas into their Adivasi gudems from June 2.

It is learnt that Adivasis are going to announce self-rule in the Adivasi gudems from June 2 onwards as they are entitled for self-rule under the 5th Schedule of the Indian Constitution and PESA Act (Panchayat Raj Extension to the Scheduled Areas).

The Adivasis made it clear that the creation of new state did not liberate them from the exploitation by the Lambadas, instead they said they were made scapegoats and two lakh among them became ousted under the Polavaram Project.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had interacted with the Lambada leaders and community elders and had promised to make them sarpanches of Lambada Thandas and develop their Thandas while talking about upgradation of Lambada Thandas as gram panchayats.
