Nights to be warmer in Tamil Nadu, interior districts to sizzle
Chennai: Karur continues to top the state in terms of acute weather condition, as the district recorded 41.4 degrees Celsius on Sunday.
There seems to be no respite for Karur where the temperature has been hovering around 41 C for a week now.
Weather experts say that the situation would be better off after a week, as the state could expect the presence of moisture carrying easterlies, which would bring down the maximum temperature throughout the state.
Meanwhile, the temperature in the interior districts is sizzling too, as Tiruchurapalli and Madurai recorded 39.9 degrees and 39.6 degrees respectively. The night temperature throughout the state is also forecast to be above normal, said weather experts.
“Hot and dry conditions to prevail over most parts of TN, with lesser chances of light to moderate rainfall over the ghats. Day temperatures are expected to be above normal, with a further rise in temperatures likely over the interiors. Night temperatures are also expected to be slightly above normal,” said a bulletin from Keaweather blog.
