Telangana: Power staff status in two months

The High Court appointed Justice Dharmadhikari Committee has speeded up its work to submit its report to the High Court.

Hyderabad: The fate of 1,253 electricity employees relieved by the Telangana state government will be decided in two months, the time set by the Supreme Court to the High Court on Friday, said Mr N Giridhar of the Relieved Employees Joint Action Committee.

The High Court appointed Justice Dharmadhikari Committee has speeded up its work to submit its report to the High Court. The crucial meeting with the officials of Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh power utilities on Saturday remained inconclusive and it has asked them to come with their versions on Sunday again.

While the joint action committee the Dharmadhikari panel to provide options to the employees to chose the state in which they want to work, the officials of Telangana state and Andhra Pradesh stood their ground. TS officials maintained that the “nativity” of the employee should be parameter and their AP counterparts insisted on geographical location of the posts.
