KARIMNAGAR: Two wedding photographers were killed and their friend was injured when a lorry hit the car in which they were travelling on Rajiv Rahadari near Andugulapalli village on Saturday. The condition of the injured is stable. Commercial photographers, videographers and managements of colour labs of Godavarikhani town observed a bandh to express their grief.
Basanthnagar SI A. Vijay said the deceased were Md. Raoof alias Chotu, 20, of V Incline Colony and Matla Praveen, 32, of Bus Stand Colony in Godavarikhani. Their friend Basha suffered minor injuries.
Raoof died on the spot and Praveen succumbed at a hospital in Hyderabad. The driver suddenly took a U turn without using indicators. The speeding lorry hit the car on the other lane of Rajiv Rahadari, police said. The front portion of the car got stuck in the lorry cabin. “The accident took place due to rash driving,” police said.
