Few takers for online medical eamcet from Hyderabad
Hyderabad: A little over 300 candidates have registered for the online Eamcet medical test. In all, 293 students from Hyderabad and 29 from Warangal have opted for the new pattern in one week since the online test option was activated on the website.
The tepid response has caught officials off-guard. They had decided to conduct the online medical test for 25,000 candidates, who apply first. With four days to go for the deadline, officers feel they may fall far short of that figure.
“Intermediate students will be writing a number of offline tests during their two-year study. Choosing the online test is a big risk. Not many have an idea about the pattern for the online test,” a coaching institute teacher said. Officials said they would go ahead with the online exam irrespective of how many students apply.
Eamcet convener N.V. Ramana Rao said the online test would be held along with the offline exam on May 2. He said both the exams will have the same question paper and same exam timings.
