Illegal investments case: Temporary relief for Jagathi Publications
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad High Court on Thursday directed the Special CBI Court of the city not to frame charges till March 17 in three cases pending before it against Jagathi Publications owned by YSR Congress chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s family the in illegal investments case.
Justice M. Seetharama Murti, while hearing three separate petitions by Jagathi challenging the dismissal of their petitions by the CBI Court seeking combining of the trial, asked the CBI Court to not to frame the charges against the accused in three cases.
Kesava Rao, counsel for the CBI, contended that the High Court has to first look into the maintainability of the petitions.
The judge asked CBI counsel to spell his opinion on stalling the process of framing of charges for one week in view of the fact that some time was required to complete hearing in three petitions.
When counsel replied in the positive, the judge ordered the CBI court to not to frame changes and adjourned hearing.
