CHENNAI: AIADMK deputy general secretary T.T.V. Dinakaran on Thursday launched a scathing attack on former chief minister O. Panneerselvam calling him ‘zero Panneerselvam’ and saying he is not relevant to anyone. Talking to the media at AIADMK headquarters here after distributing financial assistance of Rs. 3 lakh each to 429 families of party men who lost their lives after the demise of former Chief Minister J. Jayalaltihaa, he said “Only the media is turning Panneerselvam into a hero by calling him as OPS.
“He is only zero Panneerselvam for us. DMK is our only enemy”. He said Panneerselvam is resorting to a false campaign on the death of Jayalalithaa and it would not have any impact on the people.Reacting to a query if he would contest in RK Nagar, Dinakaran said the party’s administrative council would decide on it. “We will win the bypoll by a huge margin and there is no doubt about it. The candidate will be decided by the administrative council soon”.
He also issued a statement announcing that the administrative council had been changed and party general secretary VK Sasikala would be its president and minister KA Sengottaiyan, Dinakaran, Thamizhmagan Hussain, former minister B. Valarmathi, Lok Sabha MP P. Venugopal and A. Justin Selvaraj would be its members.
