Kochi: Consumer forum not at fault in Lulu case
Kochi: The Kerala High Court has accepted the report filed by the Consumer Redressal Forum, Ernakulam bench that the vehicle number of its member was mistakenly entered in the complaint against Lulu’s parking fee collection row. Considering the submission and also the request of the woman who moved the forum against Lulu, the High Court transferred the case to the Kottayam bench of the Consumer forum.
“Though Lulu has made certain submissions in connection with the registration number of the car involved in the complaint, now it has come out on record based on the report made available by the Forum as well as the affidavit filed by Rema George that the registration number of the car was wrongly given in the complaint,” Justice Alexander Thomas observed.
Rema George of Kottayam filed the plea before the forum saying that Lulu was charging illegal parking fees. Considering the case the Forum asked Lulu to submit the money collected by it before the court.
According to the Lulu Group, Rema George used the car of Sheen Jose, a member of the Forum. Rema George committed an inadvertent mistake by mentioning Sheen Jose’s car number instead of her car number in the petition which led Lulu to move the court.
