Vijayawada: Gundala church Tirunalla begins
Vijayawada: Considered as among the top three holy place for Christians in India, the Gunadala Church is organising a 3-day Tirunalla Utsavalu.
Bishop Telagatoti Joseph Rajarao inaugurated the Utsavam in Bishop High school ground on Friday along with, Vicar General Fr. M. Gabriel, Monsignor Fr. Muvvala Prasad and Rector E. Willium Jayaraju.
The Bishop addressed devotees saying that Mother Mary sends the Lord to save the world and that he is the saviour. He further said that the Gunadala Holy temple has developed only with the devotees’ belief.
Monsignor Muvvala Prasad said, “Not only Catholics but other people are also visiting Gunadala Church and take the blessings of Mother Mary. Later they distributed Prasadam to the people present and the Bishop felicitated the Silver Jubilation pastors.
Cultural programs by children and the Catholic Christians entertained devotees. Devotees enjoyed the Kolatam and G. Balaswami’s songs.
