KOLLAM: The Deputy Director of Education (DDE) here has ordered the Trinity Lyceum management to oust the school principal as his explanation given on the incident of celebrating the come-back of the teachers by distributing cake and flowers was “not satisfactory”. DDE K.S. Sreekala in her order has also mentioned that the principal has no right to continue in the post as he does not belong to the age limit prescribed to be the principal of an ICSE school, which is 60.

“The act of spreading the photos of celebration held at the school after taking back the teachers is an insult to not only to the child, but to the entire society and the government systems. The education department has also sought action against others who are involved in celebrating the event. If the management fails to abide by the order, the department will move further with proceedings to cancel the NOC of the school, the order says.

The teachers Sindhu Paul and Crescence Navis from Kollam, who are accused in the death of Gauri Neha, were given a warm welcome by cutting a cake in the presence of the school Principal earlier. The teachers who are accused for abetting suicide went absconding for nearly a month before they surrendered at the Kollam District Magistrate Court Court which directed the accused to be present before the investigative officer on all Saturdays until the charge sheet is submitted on the case. The police has currently charged the accused with sections 511, 305, 34 of IPC including abetment of suicide and sections under Juvenile Justice Act for torturing the girl.
