HC adjourns case of Vyuham film to Thursday

Hyderabad: Justice Surepalli Nanda of the Telangana High Court once again adjourned the hearing on the release and vacating of suspension orders for the Censor certificate of RGV's Vyooham movie. The adjournment to Thursday was deemed necessary as the arguments presented in court were not concluded.

Senior counsel A. Venkatesh, representing the film producer, asserted that neither the Telugu Desam nor Nara Lokesh had the locus standi to file the writ petition before the High Court to challenge the Censor certificate issued for the movie.

He pointed out that the nine-member committee of the Censor Board had cleared the movie after a thorough screening. The suspension of the Censor certificate has prevented the movie's release, causing substantial financial losses to the producer due to the prolonged delay.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for January 11 to continue deliberations on this matter.
