Krishnagiri​: Vehicles of Hindu outfit worker go up in flames

Krishnagiri​: Denkannikottai police are probing a complaint made by a Hindutuva movement worker who alleged that miscreants had set fire to his vehicles. Ranganath (42) of Denkannikottai, works here as a quarry manager, and is also an active worker of the Hindutuva movement.

Ranganath filed a police complaint on Wednesday that four of his vehicles including a two-wheeler and a bi-cycle parked in the portico of his rented house was gutted.

According to the petition, Ranganath was disturbed in sleep by the noise in the early hours of Wednesday. He came out and found the vehicles engulfed in fire.

Ranganath and his family members tried to douse the fire in vain, and the vehicles were completely damaged.

Ranganath alleged that the fire was triggered by his enemies to threaten him for his negative comments in social media. Denkannikottai police registered a case and are investigating.
