Home minister inaugurates two model police stations
Kurnool: Home minister Nimmakayala Chinna Rajappa inaugurated two model police stations one at Kurnool and another at Panyam along with Deputy Chief Minister K.E. Krishna Murthy and Health minister NMD Farooq. Each police station was constructed at a cost of '1.40 crores.
Addressing the media, he said the government had sanctioned 70 model police stations across the state. The aim of the government was to ensure a peaceful life for the people without any problems on the law and order front, he added. He said various crimes like cricket betting, thefts, atrocities against women, murders, ganja, red sanders smuggling, cyber crimes had come down drastically compared with the earlier time, after the establishment of the model police stations.
He further said that investigation procedures had become easier with the adoption of the latest technology installed in the model police stations with the police cracking cases immediately after they occurred. The home minister said that 3,157 vacancies of police constables would be filled and a notification would be issued soon.
District collector S. Satyanarayana, Kurnool range DIG D. Nagendra Kumar, district SP K. Fakkerappa, MPs Butta Renuka, SPY Reddy, KUDA chairman Somisetty Venkateswarlu, MLAs S.V. Mohan Reddy, M. Manigandi, MLC K.E. Prabhakar, former minister Erasu Pratap Reddy and others were also present.
