Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association seeks wider air connectivity
Visakhapatnam: A delegation of Andhra Pradesh Air Travellers Association (APATA) on Tuesday met Civil Aviation Minister P. Ashok Gajapathi Raju and submitted a memorandum, re-questing him to increase air connectivity across AP. The delegation also requested the minister to develop infrastructure at all the major airports in the state, according to Cheruvu Ramakotaiah, working president of the APATA.
Mr Raju promised to look into the issues raised in the memorandum and would deliberate on the points during a conference to be held in Vijayawada in March.
Later the delegation members met airport director G. Prakash Reddy and requested him to facilitate night landing of aeroplanes. APATA president Y. Sivasagar Rao, secretary K. Rama Rao, members D.S. Verma, Dr Kumara Raja, Pallamraju and others were present at the meeting.
