Visakhapatnam: Union urban development minister M. Venkaiah Naidu announced on Monday that Andhra Pradesh will soon be a separate railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters. Visakhapatnam is going to be the 30th city on the map of CGHS,” he said. Mr Nadda said state health minister Kamineni Srinivas and Visakhapat-nam Member of Parliame-nt P. Kambhampati Haribabu brought the seriousness of Uddanam Nephro-pathy (the kidney-related disease prevalent in Uddanam region of Srikakulam district) to his attention. “We will set up two more dialysis units for kidney patients in Srikaku-lam district. We will send a special team from the Indian Council of Medical Research to find solutions for this problem.”
“There are 30.8 lakh beneficiaries of CGHS-well-ness centres across India out of which 10 lakh are pensioners. The wellness centre in Visakhapatnam will cater to an estimated 80,000 serving and pensioner beneficiaries,” he said.
