What we expected from the Gandhigiri, we have achieved on Monday, says GHMC official.

Hyderabad: Following the Gandhigiri of GHMC staff over open urinations, on Monday, as many as 18 open urinal centres were identified in and around areas in Koti seen as clean and neat.

Assistant Medical and Health Officer Y. Venkata Ramana said that the GHMC staff, under the jurisdiction of circle-8, continued the Gandhigiri on Monday.
“What we expected from the Gandhigiri, we have achieved on Monday.

There was no report on open urinations at the identified 18 points including Putlibowli, Goshamahal, opposite ENT hospital, Near 95 bus stop lane in Koti, at Gandhi Medical College, opposite Khan Lathif Khan building, near Birla Mandir water tank and other places,” he said.

He said that the staff reached the points with garlands and monitored the points from dawn to dusk. “We shall continue the same to bring a change in the attitude of those who adopt open places for urination,” he said. Meanwhile, other teams under the jurisdiction of circles 3B and 13 imposed penalties up to Rs 200 to 3,100 persons.
