CAT 2016: For the first time, 20 candidates get 100 percentile
Bengaluru: IIM-B announced its CAT 2016 results on Monday. For the first time in recent history, 20 candidates scored 100 percentile. “They are all men and all engineers. However, in sectionals, many non-engineers and women have scored 100 percentile,” said Prof. Rajendra K. Bandi, Convener, CAT 2016.
IIMB had conducted CAT on in December 2016 for 1.95 lakh candidates across India. Here’s what city toppers had to say:
Jayaditya Sirasani (99.60): This is the third time I have attempted CAT. I got good scores both times. Now that I’ve got excellent grades again, I hope to get into one of the older IIMs.
Dattatreya Chawdhury (99.69): I am very happy. I am looking forward to doing my MBA and I feel really ready. I want to get into IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIMK, IIMJ or IIMH. I want to focus on engineering.
Priyanka Kothari (99.45): I’ve worked in a young startup before and have the marketing experience. I’m targeting IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIMK, IIMJ or IIMH. I would like to focus on marketing.
Mohit Sudhakar (99.70): I feel elated. I am looking at IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIMK, IIMJ or IIMH. I may start my own company in the future.
Anurag Nandi (99.95): I was numb during the first few hous after the results. But now I am happy that my hard work has paid off. I am aiming at IIMA, IIMB and IIMC in that order. I am a marketing consultant so I'd like to stick to consulting for the foreseeable future.
