Vaishnaw says India will be a developed country by 2047

Visakhapatnam: Railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday underlined that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is determined to make India a developed country by 2047.

Participating in the Vikasit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra in Veeluparthi of Vepada mandal in Vizianagaram district, he said they have launched the yatra to create awareness among people about welfare schemes that the central government is implementing for them.

On the day, Ashwini Vaishnaw visited the S. Kota constituency. He announced that Kothavalasa will be turned into a world-class railway station. He assured that steps will be taken to halt Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Express train at S. Kota railway station.

The railway minister said the funds allocated for railway projects in Andhra Pradesh have increased significantly. “While a budget for railway projects had been Rs 800 crore in combined AP, AP is not getting Rs 8,000 crore,” he stated.

Deputy Chief Minister and district in-charge minister Budi Mutyala Naidu said Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is providing many welfare and development schemes to people of the state with the help of central government.

District collector S. Nagalakshmi said Vikasit Bharat Sankalpa Yatra has so far covered 156 villages.

Zilla parishad chairman M. Srinivasa Rao and Rajya Sabha member G.V.L. Narasimha Rao were among those present.
