Hyderabad: India recorded 148 new Covid-19 infections in a single day, as reported by updated data from the Union Health Ministry on Saturday. The total number of active cases has risen to 808.
The country's cumulative Covid-19 cases now amount to 4.50 crore (4,50,02,889), with a death toll of 5,33,306, according to the 8 AM update.
The data further reveals that 4,44,68,775 individuals have successfully recovered from the disease, resulting in a national recovery rate of 98.81 percent. The case fatality rate remains at 1.19 percent.
The Union Health Ministry's website reports that a total of 220.67 crore Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered in the country to date.
