Kochi: Women wall absentees will regret, says Vellappally

The idea of women wall, however, will not be extinguished because people are campaigning on social media.

Kochi: People declining to take part in the proposed 'women wall' on January 1 to highlight the values of the 'renaissance' in Kerala will be judged by history as idiots, according to SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan.

Speaking to reporters here on Saturday, he said if they support the event instead of opposing it on political grounds, they will become part of history. He also said Sabarimala agitation has largely fizzled out. Taking a dig at the erstwhile Pandalam rulers and Tantri families, he said the fire lighted by these people are largely extinguished and now struggling to remain aflame.

The idea of women wall, however, will not be extinguished because people are campaigning on social media. He also criticised political parties for their double standards. "I stand by my first reaction that it was a disappointing verdict while all political parties currently agitating against the entry of women welcomed it," he said.
