Hyderabad: Lok Adalat news fake, says police
Hyderabad: A fake message stating that Hyderabad traffic police will conduct the Lok Adalat on Dec 23 went viral on social media on Saturday morning.
The messages also states that there would be a 50 per cent discount on the pending challans.
In the evening the Hyderabad traffic police requested citizens to not believe and spread the fake messages. However, many people shared it on social media.
Additional Commissioner of police (Traffic) Anil Kumar said, “We will definitely take action after thorough verification.”
Meanwhile, the Hyderabad traffic police informed citizens through its Twitter handle that the message was fake.
We witnessed a message going viral on social media informing that there will be a traffic Lok Adalat on December 23. We would like to inform the citizens that the message is fake. Please don’t believe it. Thanks. (sic),” the police’s tweet read. Some replied to the message on Twitter expressing their interest in the Lok Adalat.
@imchirag24 a user tweeted, “Any official update about when will you conduct Lok Adalat?”
Syed Ali SIddiq commented, “Thanks, but we citizens need a Lok Adalat. Arrange it (sic)”.
Another Twitter user Ravindra Bajaj commented, “ Thanks sir but Lok Adalat is needed. Please arrange (sic).”.
Daraz commented “ Thank you Hyderabad traffic police.But, when you are conducting lok adalat??(sic)”.
One netizen expressing his hope Sharan Jonnala commented “ Sir in future are there any chances. Please let us know”.
