English classes for AP farmers
Vijayawada: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Saturday said that farmers will be given English coaching so that they help spread the concept of Zero Budget Natural Farming across the country and the globe.
Mr Naidu was speaking after inaugurating a 10-day training programme on ZBNF by agriculturist Subhash Palekar at the Bible Mission Grounds in front of the Acharya Nagarjuna University in Guntur district on Saturday.
Addressing the farmers, he said that the world was looking towards AP for ZBNF and that the state government was planning to turn ZBNF farmers into trainers to give training to other states and later, other countries as well.
To help attain this goal, English coaching would be offered to ZBNF farmers.
Mr Naidu said that his government was planning to promote agriculture tourism in the near future and people from all over the world were interested in ZBNF and wanted to enrol in training programmes.
Mr. Naidu said that earlier Hitech city and Cyberabad were established to promote IT which changed the lives of the youth of the State. He recalled, “At that time, the English spoken by our youth was not good hence English classes were conducted to give them better employment opportunities in Chennai, Bangalore and even the USA.”
The CM added, “AP is giving natural farming to the country and the state’s efforts were recognized by United Nations Organizations.”
