Bengaluru: Roommates crush man to death

The deceased and the accused were working at a stable and took care of the horses that were rented out for weddings.

Bengaluru: A 20-year-old horse stable boy was bludgeoned to death by his two roommates, who were all staying at a rented accommodation on Queen's Road, on Friday.

The High Grounds police detained the two roommates, Arif Khan and Siddiq, who killed Fairoz, hailing from Hosur.

The deceased and the accused were working at a stable and took care of the horses that were rented out for weddings. On Thursday night, a fight broke out between the three over a petty issue. Soon, the fight was resolved and all the three slept. But in the middle of the night, Arif and Siddiq woke up, brought a big stone form outside and dropped it on Fairoz’s face, killing him on the spot. When the trio did not turn up for work, the owner went to their rented room to check and found Fairoz lying dead in a pool of blood.

He approached the High Grounds police station and filed a complaint. The police, who took up the case, detained Arif and Siddiq and interrogated them.
