Nara Lokesh comes clean' on assets
Vijayawada: Minister Nara Lokesh announced the assets and liabilities of the family of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday.
The assets were as follows: Mr Naidu: Rs 2.53 crore; his wife Bhuvaneswari: Rs 25.41 crore; Mr Lokesh: Rs 15.21 crore; daughter-in-law Brahmini: Rs 15 crore and grandson Devaansh: Rs 11.54 crore. The figures are for March 31, 2017.
Mr Lokesh has now challenged YSRC president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, to announce the assets of his family.
The assets include a building under construction in Hyderabad together with a plot, valued at Rs 7.75 Cr in Mr Naidu’s statement, and Rs 10.10 crore in Mr Lokesh’s statement.
In Ms Bhuvaneswari’s statement, the major asset is shares in Heritage worth Rs 19.95 crore. Ms Brahmini owns a house worth Rs 3.5 crore. The two-year-old Devanshu has assets of Rs 11.54 crore, which he got from his maternal grandfather and actor Balakrishna.
Mr Lokesh was countering allegations of corruption levelled by the YSRC. He said: “We are very transparent. We have given all the details of our properties.
Whoever is making alleged statements against us should go through these details. I am asking Mr Jagan to announce his properties. I am giving these statements from last six years.” Replying to a question, Mr Lokesh said, “Our party MLAs, MPs and ministers, have to announce their assets like me.” And they are given to the Speaker of the Assembly.”
