Hyderabad: The Indian Metrological Department has predicted heavy rainfall for the next two days in Telangana and warned of a thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds in isolated places in all the districts of Telangana on Monday.
“There is heavy rainfall warning for the next two days as the southwest monsoon is active over TS and also because of the influence of upper air cyclonic circulation over North Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood, a low pressure area has formed over North Bay of Bengal and adjoining south Bangladesh and associated upper air cyclonic circulation extends upto 5.8 km above mean sea level,” the IMD said. Light to moderate rain and thundershowers are likely to occ-ur at a few places over TS on Tuesday and Wednesday.
