Hyderabad: The CRPF which oversees internal security and counter insurgency operations in Maoist-affected areas will be organising a one-day conference of the DGPs of Telangana state, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Chhattisgarh at Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.
The CRPF was of the view that there should be better coordination with police forces which are deployed in the four states to combat Maoists.
The meet will also be attended by officials from the Union home ministry, Border Security Force, Intelligence Bureau and Special Intelligence Bureaus of the four states and CRPF heads. The meeting will draw up a road map for the future to combat Maoists, according to a source.
