Peddapalli: A mother and daughter appeared together for the examinations and both got through and went on to get good government jobs.
Residents of Ramakrishnapur village in Manthini mandal of Peddapalli district, Rauthu Padma, the mother, has been appointed lecturer in Chinna Bonalu Residential College in Rajanna Sircilla district, while her daughter Alekya, is Child Development Project Officer in the same district.
With the encouragement of her husband Ramesh, Rauthu Padma re-started her education. She got an under-graduate degree, then a post graduate degree along with B.Ed and M.Ed and cleared the UGCNET exam too. She was appointed Post Graduate Teacher for gurukul residential schools through the Telangana State Public Service Commission.
Alekya, who secured the top rank in the TSPSC test, has been made Child Development Project Officer at this early stage in her life.
Alekya said that they both prepared a time table for the exams and encouraged each other to study with the aim of securing a job in the government.
