Hubballi: A day after losing control of a key bank to ally turned arch rival Laxmi Hebbalkar, Public Administration Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi signalled that the battle for Belagavi was far from over and announced on Saturday that making his brother Satish Jarkholi the chief minister of Karnataka was his top priority. Saying he was not in the race himself, the older Jarkiholi said: “We (Jarkiholi family) will see that Satish Jarkiholi will become CM soon. No one can stop him from taking over the top post.”
Asserting that the Jarkiholi brothers are working together to achieve their political goals, Ramesh Jarkiholi not only scotched speculation the family was divided, he said: “The family's political objective is to project Satish Jarkiholi as the frontrunner. We are all together on this. There is no difference of opinion on that.”
