Chennai: Pointing out that over 1,300 students who had obtained medical seats through NEET had undergone one-year training for NEET and spend several lakhs after completing class XII, PMK founder S. Ramadoss on Friday said that included students who had studied under CBSE.
Spending one more year after completing class XII would be possible only for rich students and such a procedure of admission would amount to snatching away the rights of poor and giving them to the rich, he said.
Ramadoss, who had announced a protest against NEET on September 12, said protests should continue to put pressure on the central and state governments. He said Anbumani Ramadoss opposed NEET when he was the Union health minister in 2010.
