Supreme Court to Hear AP's Petition on August 11

A special leave appeal filed by the Andhra Pradesh government in the Supreme Court against the AP High Court putting a stay order on the construction of houses for the underprivileged in Amaravati's R-5 Zone is expected to be heard on August 11.

According to state government officials, the case would be heard soon because the SLP was granted a dairy number by the Supreme Court. Furthermore, Amaravati farmers have already filed a caveat plea, requesting that the Supreme Court consider their views before making a final decision on AP's SLP.
