PIL against award of Rs180 crore worth 2bhk project

Hyderabad: The Telangana High Court adjourned the hearing of a PIL challenging the award of Rs 180 crore worth works on nomination to a private construction company, DEC Infrastructure Company pvt ltd, for constructing 2412 two BHK houses in Mansanpally phase 1 and 2.

The petitioner complained that the said tender was allotted by the GHMC according to the whims and fancies of its authorities, who did not follow the mandated tendering process.

It was also brought to the notice of the court that the works have been executed and the private firm has been paid 38 percent of the contracted amount. The petitioner also mentioned that the construction company had deliberately taken up the work, despite the case being pending before the Court.

The court will hear the case on August 16.
