Hyderabad: Women's College students hold protest over fee hike

The students said that they are made to pay Rs 7,000 in fees even after the scholarships.

Hyderabad: Hundreds of students held a protest at Koti Women’s College on Wednesday demanding the management to resolve all their pending issues and to provide proper infrastructure and facilities on the college premises. The students also protested against the sudden hike in fees in the degree college.

Around 500 students took part in the protest alleging that the students who deserve scholarships are being forced to pay the fees. Nearby areas of the college witnessed traffic jams due due to the strike. The students said that they are made to pay Rs 7,000 in fees even after the scholarships.

According to students, the college authorities have promised to repair washrooms and to provide better hostel facilities but the students were annoyed that till date the college principal has not fulfilled her promises.

The students alleged that they have very poor toilets and no proper hostel facilities on the campus.
