Perv on the loose at NICE road, alleges victim

Rajyashree took to Bengaluru City Police's Facebook handle to narrate the ordeal she encountered on August 6 at around 1 pm.

Bengaluru: If you are a woman and travel on a bike on NICE Road, beware. There might be a pervert on the prowl who is reportedly targeting lone women and misbehaving with them by exposing his weird fetishes.

In one such alleged incident, Mrs India World 1st runner up Rajyashree Vishanth has claimed that a ‘psychiatric person’ on NICE Road (Mysuru Road towards Bannerghatta Road), tried to misbehave with her.

Rajyashree took to Bengaluru City Police’s Facebook handle to narrate the ordeal she encountered on August 6 at around 1 pm. She said that a man who wore heavy makeup, similar to that of women, approached her when she was waiting for her husband who had gone to get a mechanic to repair their two-wheeler which was frozen.

“My husband took a lift from someone and went to get a mechanic while asking me to wait by our vehicle. A man who wore bindi and lipstick, clad in formal shirt and jeans, approached me. He unfastened his shirt as he drew close to me. He was wearing a black bra, I could clearly make out he had stuffed cotton in it. I yelled out loud so someone could hear. It was a bustling highway yet everyone moved at high speed. Nobody ceased. I said I will summon police but he stayed. He stood looking at me like a creep. When I tried to take his photos he kept running from the place. I can plainly distinguish him he wore his white helmet and rode fast. He is psychopathic without a doubt.” she narrated her ordeal.

She claimed that she tried to contact on the number belonging to NHAI patrolling vehicle, but in vain. Then, instead of informing the police, she called up people from media and sought help.

The police in reply to her post have wondered why she did not make any attempt to contact police while in distress. “Dial 100 is your first choice for such situations and download our SURAKSHA app for an emergency. Please lodge a complaint at jurisdiction Police Station in this regard,” the police replied.
